Frequently Asked Questions   Due to state budgetary constraints, the Department will stop enrollment of new clients in its PAK and PAM programs effective September 1, 2010. Applications postmarked after the deadline will not be processed. Premium Assistance for Kids (PAK) is an Insure New Mexico! health insurance solution to expand children's health coverage in New Mexico. PAK pays a portion of the premium for commercial, comprehensive health insurance for eligible children under the age of 12 or up to age 18 if part of a sibling group that includes a child under the age of 12.
